Employee Spotlight: Getting to know Natalie Jones, Senior People Partner

For this edition of our Employee Spotlight series, we’re excited to introduce Natalie Jones, Senior People Partner, supporting our UK team and worldwide sales. Natalie’s journey showcases her adaptability, empathy, and a passion for people-first leadership.

Shaping a people-first culture

Natalie joined Loftware in June 2023, drawn by the opportunity to be part of a small but mighty People Team. “We can truly shape the function and implement meaningful solutions,” Natalie shares. Based out of our UK office, she splits her time between home and the office, embracing the flexibility of a hybrid role.

Working cross-functionally with all areas of the business keeps things dynamic and gives Natalie a broader perspective on how to support our people more effectively. When asked what her favorite thing about her role was, she stated: "It’s the variety and the chance to work with so many different teams”.

A journey rooted in empathy and growth

Natalie’s career began in recruitment administration, providing a strong foundation for her transition into generalist HR. She found her passion in aligning people strategies with organizational goals - enabling growth, improving engagement, and building high-performing teams. “Working in the people function is full of first-time situations, and being adaptable while leading with empathy is essential,” she advises newcomers to the field.

Work life and recent achievements

A recent highlight for Natalie was winning the Loftware ‘Stay Curious’ Values Award. “It’s a value I really resonate with, and it felt great to be recognized for always asking questions and seeking better ways to do things,” she reflects. 
When asked about work life and collaboration with colleagues, Natalie noted she really admires a colleague of hers, who leads the People Operations team, for her pragmatic, people-first approach. Working alongside colleagues who embrace the same values, mindset, and culture as Natalie is a highlight of her career at Loftware. 

Beyond the office

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys traveling, eating, walking her dog in the woods, and spending time with family and friends. “It’s basic, but I own it!” she says. She can’t live without audiobooks, music, and podcasts - background noise is essential for her productivity. If she could meet any living person for dinner, it would be Brené Brown, whose work on vulnerability and leadership inspires her.

Natalie also enjoys visiting her favorite local spots. “We have some great coffee and breakfast places nearby, followed by a walk in Swinley Forest, which I’m lucky to have right on my doorstep,” she shares.

Looking ahead

Natalie is eager to visit the Portsmouth, New Hampshire office again, especially during autumn to see the beautiful colors. Her advice to those starting out in HR: “Volunteer to take notes, shadow others, and join as many meetings as possible. Stay adaptable and lead with empathy.”
