How CalCog transformed label production with Loftware
CalCog, a global leader in clinical supply services, worked with Loftware to transform its label production process to better support small and medium-sized pharmaceutical and biotech organizations, contract research organizations, and academic institutions deliver clinical research.
Prior to implementing Loftware Prisym 360, the company’s labeling processes were adversely impacted by decentralized operations, delayed turnaround, price volatility, and limited existing software. Consequently, CalCog faced difficulty transferring projects between sites, 25-day lead times for printing, and increased costs.
CalCog began by examining the existing software being used at their UK site, working to identify the limitations and the potential benefits of upgrading both Texas and the UK to a newer version of this platform. However, they quickly realized it wouldn’t provide the process efficiencies required to offer industry-leading service levels.

They soon intend to begin overprinting blank stock booklets and plans are already being developed to make use of Prisym 360’s booklet artwork management functionality, allowing booklet design to also be brought in-house.
