Robert O’Connor, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer
Since joining Loftware, Mr. O’Connor has led the Company in becoming the recognized global leader in Enterprise Labeling software. He has spearheaded international expansion into Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and oversees the development and release of the Company’s next-generation labeling solution. Most notably, this past March Mr. O’Connor and his management team led the acquisition of Gap Systems in the UK, to expand Loftware's solution portfolio to include artwork management software and further grow the Company's global footprint. With over 25 years of experience in executive management positions with software companies, he brings a proven track record of success in company leadership, market development, product strategy, software development, strategic partnerships and company funding to Loftware.
Vic Pierni, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pierni joined Loftware to manage the company’s corporate financial, and legal and customer account management functions. He plays a strategic role in Loftware’s overall development and growth, and oversees the Company’s customer service and contract administrations organizations that manage customer relations, contract renewals, and software upgrades. He has over 25 years of experience driving successful outcomes within growing software, technology and advisory businesses. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of a leading cloud-based data connectivity marketplace for whom he helped lead through its sale. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at mobile application development platform provider Verivo Software and has held key positions with other software and technology providers. He began his career at KPMG where he directed numerous audit and transaction advisory projects for private equity and strategic acquisition clients. Mr. Pierni holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Boston College and a MBA from Babson College.
Allen Patrick, Vice President of Sales, Americas
Mr. Patrick brings over 20 years of global software sales to his role as Vice President of Sales, Americas at Loftware. He is responsible for sales strategies and managing direct and inside sales, as well as strategic partner and channel organizations. Before joining Loftware, he served as Chief Revenue Officer for Newforma, an enterprise software solution provider, where he oversaw sales, business development and solution engineering across North America, EMEA, Latin America and APAC. Mr. Patrick also spent nearly ten years as Vice President of Strategic Accounts at QAD, a provider of cloud-based ERP and supply chain solutions. During his time with QAD he implemented a global account management group responsible for managing enterprise customers throughout a range of industries including life science, manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive and consumer product goods. Mr. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and is APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Rob Minns, Vice President International Sales
Mr. Minns brings over 25 years of experience in computer software and services to his role as Vice President of International Sales at Loftware. He leads business development initiatives throughout EMEA and APAC regions and is responsible for supporting customers throughout a wide range of industries including those with validated environments. Prior to joining Loftware, Mr. Minns served as Vice President of Sales for enterprise software company, MetaPack, where he helped transform the company into a world class SaaS provider with 25,000 customers. Mr. Minns also was employed for over 20 years at GXS (formerly GE Information Services), an information and technology services firm where he was responsible for a global team of sales professionals based throughout the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Manila. He began his career with International Computers (UK) Limited and with GE Information Services. Mr. Minns received a BA in Systems Analysis from Bristol Polytechnic and is GE Six Sigma certified.
Josh Roffman, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management
Mr. Roffman has over 25 years of marketing and product management experience with leading enterprise software companies. He is responsible for defining Loftware’s product strategy and was instrumental in the launch of Loftware Spectrum, the industry’s leading Enterprise Labeling Solution. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing all corporate marketing functions and leads Loftware’s thought leadership efforts. Mr. Roffman specializes in the impact of supply chain trends on enterprise labeling and he frequently speaks at industry events and authors editorial content on the subject. Prior to joining Loftware, Mr. Roffman served as Vice President of Products at AFS Financial Solutions where he was responsible for driving product strategy, positioning, and marketing programs. He also served as Director of Product Management at Softrax Corporation and was at Infoseek where he launched a business information product selected by Netscape as a “Premier Netcaster Channel.”
Mark Wick, Vice President of Software Development
Mr. Wick has over 20 years’ experience in architecting and delivering world–class supply chain and enterprise application integration software. He is responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, and development of all Loftware’s products including Loftware’s leading Enterprise Labeling Solution, Loftware Spectrum. Prior to joining Loftware, Mr. Wick was a founder and Senior Vice President of Blue Agave Software, a provider of solutions designed to help consumer goods suppliers understand, predict and respond to daily consumer demand. During his time at the company, Blue Agave was recognized as one of the 10 companies ranked by Consumer Goods Technology magazine as a “Best in Class Supply Chain Solutions Provider.” Mr. Wick also served as Vice President of Engineering and Oberon Software and Earlier in his career he worked for Oracle Corporation where he helped design and develop Oracle Discoverer. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT.
Paul Goldberg, Vice President of Product Strategy
Mr. Goldberg joined Loftware as the founder of Gap Systems, having worked in the global packaging and technology sectors for over 20 years. Prior to founding Gap Systems, Mr. Goldberg held senior management positions within the software sector for Energis Communications and Cascade Systems. At Gap Systems, Paul was responsible for global company leadership, product strategy, software design, strategic partnerships and go-to-market efforts. In 2007, Paul began to develop Smartflow from the ground up to help brands, retailers and pharmaceutical organizations increase their efficiency of their product and packaging lifecycle processes. Since then, Paul has gained extensive industry expertise, working with clients such as AstraZeneca, B&Q, Dermalogica, Kao Brands, Li & Fung, Pharmavite, Real Hypermarkets, and Topco. Under Paul’s leadership, Gap Systems helped many world leading brands, retail and pharmaceutical organizations manage their packaging product lifecycles across 80 countries. As a result, Gap Systems saw significant year on year growth which has resulted in Smartflow being recognized as a leading player in label & artwork management space, prior to the acquisition by Loftware.
Carol Mercer, Vice President of Administration and Human Resources
Ms. Mercer joined Loftware as Vice President of Administration and Human Resources in 1998 and is responsible for all of Loftware’s human resource development and management. This includes designing, planning and implementing all corporate wide human resource programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs. Ms. Mercer has made a significant contribution to the development of a customer–focused/employee–oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance. Prior to joining Loftware, Ms. Mercer had a distinguished career in bank management as Vice President of Fleet Bank where she was responsible for business development, lending, branch management and staff development. She is a longtime member of the Society for Human Resource Management and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
Michael Ward, Vice President of Technical Services
Mr. Ward brings more than 20 years of experience in the management of software projects, sales engineering, technical support, and professional services to Loftware. Mr. Ward played a key role in helping to bring the company’s flagship Enterprise Labeling Solution, Loftware Spectrum to market. He brings extensive knowledge of programming languages, databases, and platforms to manage the company’s Pre–Sales, Professional Services, and Technical Support Engineering groups. Under his leadership, these groups work in conjunction to deliver solutions to Loftware customers world–wide by providing implementation, training, and technical services, as well as 24x7 technical support. Prior to joining Loftware, Mr. Ward led the coordination of product marketing opportunities with engineering and development groups at Network Vision Software. He also held senior roles in several companies including: Celus Fasteners Manufacturing, Eurotherm Gauging Systems, Measurex Systems, and Aeonic Systems Inc.

Robert O’Connor, Jr.
Since joining Loftware, Mr. O’Connor has led Loftware to become the recognized global leader in enterprise labeling software, spearheaded expansion internationally into Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and oversaw the development and release of Loftware Spectrum, a next-generation enterprise labeling solution. Mr. O’Connor has grown the Company’s sales by double digits every year, improved profitability and increased global headcount, including adding key talent to the management team.
With over 25 years of experience in executive management of software companies, Mr. O’Connor has a proven track record of success in company leadership, market development, sales execution, product strategy, software development, strategic partnerships and company funding. Before joining Loftware, he served as President and CEO of Softrax Corporation, an enterprise software company he led from inception to acquisition. Under his leadership, Softrax became the leading provider of billing and revenue management applications to high technology companies. Prior to Softrax, Mr. O’Connor was CEO of RBS Group, Inc., a software and services company that grew to become IBM’s largest business partner in New England. At that time, he was honored by IBM as one of the “Top 50 CEOs” among its business partners. He has also been recognized for his achievements and contributions with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist Award. Mr. O’Connor is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his MBA from the University of Connecticut.
David Belluck is a General Partner with Riverside Partners, a Boston-based, private equity investment firm. Riverside Partners invests in growing, middle market businesses in the technology and health care industries. The firm is currently investing Riverside Fund V, L.P, a $561 million fund raised in 2012. Riverside Partners’ investors include leading endowments, foundations, pension funds, family offices and fund of funds. David joined Riverside Partners in 1988.
David serves on the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors in Massachusetts. He is a Vice-Chair and Board Member of The Alliance for Business Leadership, which is a group of business leaders advancing corporate citizenship and advocating socially responsible economic growth. David is Chair of Cool Globes in Boston, an outdoor art exhibit to raise awareness of global warming and to promote sustainability. He is also a Director of The Winsor School and a Director and the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Kingsley Montessori School.
David received his MBA with honors from Harvard Business School in 1988. He graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in economics in 1984.
Brian Guthrie is a General Partner with Riverside Partners, a Boston-based, private equity investment firm that partners with owners and management teams of profitable healthcare and technology businesses who wish to accelerate the growth and value of their businesses. Brian joined Riverside Partners in 1990 and led investments in and served on boards of numerous middle-market companies in both technology and healthcare sectors.
Prior to Riverside Partners, Brian worked at Monitor Group, a business strategy consulting firm. He has also served as a director the Boston chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Brian is actively involved in youth sports and has served as a coach for youth baseball, football and soccer teams.
Ed is a Managing Partner of Shore Points Capital, a New York based private equity firm focused on software and business service investments in the lower end of the middle market. Before co–founding Shore Points, Ed was a Managing Director in the Merchant Banking Group of BNP Paribas and a founding member and principal of Chase Capital Partners, a predecessor to JP Morgan Partners.
Ed has been involved with Loftware as an investor and or director since 2005 and in addition has led investments in numerous successful private companies, notably including software businesses such as Colyar Technology Solutions, TSD Rental and SirsiDynix.
Ed received a BA from Harvard University and holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Vita has over 30 years of operations experience at Pfizer Inc, a $67 billion Fortune 30 company. Most recently, she held the position of Vice President, Business Development, Strategy and Innovation. She previously served as CIO for Pfizer Worldwide Pharmaceuticals, leading an organization of nearly 2,000 people in 44 countries. Vita was a member of the Worldwide Pharmaceuticals Leadership Team which was responsible for long term business strategy. She is a member of the Board of Directors of MediMedia USA Inc. and the Staywell Company.
Vita holds a BA in Mathematics from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
David Weiss is a seasoned executive with over 25 years in the software business. From 2002 until 2011, Mr. Weiss served as President and CEO of Numara Software, Inc, (formerly Blue Ocean Software) where he led the company to significant growth through both product and market expansion. Mr. Weiss successfully sold the company three times before exiting.
Prior to Numara, Mr. Weiss served as vice president of worldwide marketing for Citrix Systems, Inc. during its rapid expansion from a small, private company to a global leader in remote access software solutions. Mr. Weiss was also part of the founding team of a VC-funded software company in the late 90s and spent 7 years at Lotus and 5 years at IBM in various sales, marketing and technical positions in the US and Europe.
A graduate of Duke University, Mr. Weiss holds bachelors’ degrees in computer science and economics.
