[Video] Logistics Professionals Struggle With Visibility

by Maureen Perroni, on June 23, 2016

Logistics professionals are dealing with an increasingly complicated global supply chain, but some are having a hard time seeing where goods are moving.

One recent study by MIT's Center for Transportation Logistics found that only 20 percent of professionals were satisfied with current supply chain visibility. In addition, two-thirds of those surveyed said that it regularly took 12 hours or more to get information about goods being shipped around the world. Often, that data can be confusing even when it does arrive. Without a complete picture of the situation, it can be difficult to make important decisions.

Poor visibility causes supply chain inefficiency, which in turn leads to higher costs and lower customer satisfaction. An Enterprise Labeling Solution can help firms establish the serialization and traceability systems they need to track goods as they move.
