Wokingham, United Kingdom — 09 June 2021 — PRISYM ID, a leading provider of regulated labeling and content management solutions for the medical device and life science industries, has achieved GS1 certification for the latest version of its PRISYM360 cloud-based labeling solution as part of its continued focus on helping customers ensure their patients’ safety and wellbeing.
GS1 oversees a system of globally recognized open standards for unique identifiers that can be used throughout the supply chain to enhance traceability. GS1 standards are commonly used by medical device manufacturers to ensure compliance with Unique Device Identifiers (UDI) regulations for example, whilst GS1’s new Clinical Trials standard facilitates the use of GS1 2D Data Matrix barcodes for investigational products.
Achieving certification means that PRISYM360 has passed a thorough assessment process by the GS1 UK standards and consulting team, demonstrating it can support applicable GS1 standards. For PRISYM ID clients, this provides assurance that PRISYM 360 can utilize the latest GS1 standards to meet their organization’s product identification and data exchange needs.
Warren Stacey, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at PRISYM ID, said, “GS1 standards are a vital part of assuring the traceability and integrity of medical device products, both of which are critical for supporting safe patient care. The re-certification of PRISYM 360 as a GS1-approved solution shows our commitment to these standards and reflects our ongoing drive to help our customers ensure the safety of their products.”
