Eric Anderson, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Anderson's long career in the auto identification and supply chain industry dates back to 1984 at a small Boston firm that co-authored the industry-standard barcode symbology, Code 39. Later in 1986, Mr. Anderson joined Intermec Corporation, a Seattle, WA based manufacturing company and a leader in barcode data collection, scanner and printer hardware and media products manufacturer. In 1988 Intermec was acquired by Litton Industries where Mr. Anderson became responsible for growing a lucrative sales territory for the company. And in 1995, he joined Loftware Corporation, a New England based software development and engineering company known for high performance barcode labeling software systems, where he has served in different roles as VP of Sales, President and CEO. Currently Mr. Anderson remains as CEO and is a senior board member of the company where he continues to oversee and execute the company's long-term strategic plans for growth and profitability.
Brian Collin, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Collin began in public accounting with Macdonald, Page & Co., in Portland, Maine. In 1998, Mr. Collin joined Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, the largest regional accounting and business advisory firm in New England, mainly providing clients with tax, business advisory, and business valuation services. In July of 2000, he joined Loftware as Controller and was later promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Brian Collin has a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance.
Bernhard (Barry) W. B. Richter, Chief Technology Officer
With more than 15 years of international experience, including more than ten years in a variety of senior level global management roles, Mr. Richter brings a proven track record in developing advanced technology solutions in support of core strategic business objectives. His expertise includes directing multi-million dollar technology programs, research and development, technology assessment and acquisition, product development, program and product management and process and product improvement. A former lecturer in the department of computer science at the University of the Orange Free State based in South Africa, Mr. Richter holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence (AI), a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
Christopher Little, Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Little began his career at NASA doing ascent, orbit and descent simulations of Space Shuttle flights. He joined start-up Trinity Computing to create the world's first and best-selling computerized charting system for open-heart surgery, sold globally by 3M. After placing twice in Inc. 100, the company was sold to DuPont. In 1990, he was recruited into American Home Products as Manager of Clinical Information Systems, where he oversaw acquisition of several companies in key growth areas. In 1993, he joined the start-up Healthcare Communications as Vice President of Marketing and participated in #1 growth in sales in 18 months and then sold the company to Healthdyne. After a non-compete period in which he wrote a novel and took a total immersion course in Paris, he joined Lotus / IBM as Worldwide Marketing Manager and grew vertical market business three-fold. A co-founder at Health Language, Inc. in 1999, Mr. Little worked two financing rounds and participated in record sales growth. He is a full member of IEEE, SCIP, HIMSS, AMIA, and AMA. He joined Loftware in 2006.
Carol Mercer, Vice President of Administration and Human Resources
Mrs. Mercer assumed her current duties at the company in 1998 after a successful 23 years career in banking with Fleet Bank where she achieved the position of Vice President. Mrs. Mercer is responsible for all human resource development and reports directly to the CEO. This includes designing, planning and implementing human resource programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs. Mrs. Mercer holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Jim Thompson, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Thompson started his career at Trouvay & Cauvin, a global procurement management firm, as a Global Project Manager in 1992, growing the division 35%. He joined Image Networks, a document automation firm, in 1996 as Vice President of Business Development and in under 2 years grew the firm from start-up to over $5 million in sales. He joined CABC, a digital content provider, in 1998 as Director of Sales. In 2003, Mr. Thompson joined BEA Systems with responsibility for Channel Development. He was recruited from BEA in 2004 to direct Strategic Alliances for Data Return, where he grew channel revenues 200+%. He joined Loftware in 2006.
