Inside Sales Representative (ISR) Specification

The Inside Sales position will be responsible for applying a thorough understanding of Loftware's products, services and sales methodology in daily activities that will include: following up on inbound leads, prospecting in your assigned territory, communicating with Field Sales and Sales Management on account strategies, updating account and opportunity records in SalesForce.com and closing business. You will focus on expanding Loftware’s presence within an existing customer base as well as prospecting for net new business. You will proactively coordinate Loftware product demonstrations with existing customers and prospects, participate in customer account reviews and execute closing strategies to contract license sales. In addition, you will be expected to position Loftware as the industry leader in Enterprise Lifecycle Printing (ELP) though a thorough understanding of our solution value, key differentiators and the competitive landscape.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach throughout the sales cycle to understand customer's and prospect's business pains and their perception of potential solutions
  • Consistently meet and exceed quota
  • Develop and manage a high volume of cold calls, leads and opportunities with a high probability of closure
  • Indentify new business through outbound prospecting activity targeting existing customer base and net new accounts
  • Develop a working knowledge of Loftware's products, competitors and industry trends
  • Articulate industry-specific value proposition to address common vertical pain points with a focus on the industrial manufacturing industry
  • Provide accurate forecasts and reports on sales activities and projects
  • Collaborate with the Field Sales team on account and opportunity strategies

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years inside/installed base sales or equivalent experience
  • Proven success cold calling or telesales required; technology sales experience strongly preferred

Release Engineer

This position, reporting to the Manager of Quality Assurance, helps ensure the quality of Loftware's future software products by developing, maintaining and executing disciplined software build procedures. Their primary focus will be split between the consistent and timely delivery of software builds to the development organization, and ownership and maintenance of the installation scripts and routines for the various Loftware products. The ideal candidate will have no difficulty interfacing and communicating with engineering, QA and documentation. Additional tasks include administering Loftware's source code control, bug tracking, and continuous integration products.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of source code management, tools & practices (labeling, versioning, branching, etc.)
  • Experience performing automated software builds
  • Fluency in InstallShield/InstallAnywhere and/or substantive programming experience (Perl, Python, BASIC are good, C/C++/Java are better)
  • Ability to perform well in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Capable of planning and performing tasks in a consistent, persistent manner
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycles
  • Ability to document standards for use by other team members
  • Able to analyze code manually and by using development tools
  • Minimum 5 years experience in software development (Engineering, QA and/or Build Engineering)

Bonus Qualifications

Senior Software Engineer - UI/Flex Developer

We are looking for a highly-motivated Flex UI Developer with a proven track record to work with the business, functional, and technical teams to implement, and support solutions to meet business objectives. He/She will work closely with technical leads in developing enterprise class applications. He/She must have a good understanding of, and practical production experience with, Java web application development. Must have experience in agile software development methodologies. Contribute to the broader growth and company culture and be an integral part of the team.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • BS or MS in any discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Web Application Development with 2 plus years in Flex.
  • Strong experience as a Web application Developer for large scale web based software development efforts.

Technical Support/System Engineer

The primary responsibility of a Technical Support/Systems Engineer is to ensure that Loftware customers receive the highest level of technical and customer support possible. The Technical Support/System Engineer provides system solutions to customers’ most complex technical issues via telephone, email, remote media, and possible on–site intervention. Loftware relies on Technical Support/Systems Engineers to provide technical and operational solutions in an efficient, professional and customer–friendly manner. This position is also an in–house advocate for the customers, providing a positive, unified and technically invaluable voice of Loftware to the customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Resolve highly complex technical issues for customers via telephone and electronic media for Loftware related product issues
  • Develop and execute action plans to address ongoing issues for strategic customers. Document status within internal systems and actively participate in managerial/customer status meetings.
  • Perform in-depth testing of Loftware functionality and related products in relation to customer-specific implementations and new product testing.
  • Become a subject matter expert in all Loftware product lines.
  • Research, test and document integration of Loftware and related vendor products.
  • Effectively manage incident backlog; proactively informing customers and management of status.
  • Author professional documentation including knowledge base articles, whitepapers, quality issues, testing results, training documentation and departmental procedures.
  • Monitor phone queue coverage to ensure reasonable and acceptable customer wait times.
  • Perform remote and on-site Loftware product installations, upgrades, and customer training.

Required Skills

Sales Engineer

Reporting to the Professional Services Manager this position is responsible as the technical resource on the sales team for pre–sale success of incorporating technical criteria into the overall sales strategy.

To ensure the clients’ and company's needs are met, the Sales Engineer will regularly liaise with other members of the Sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Product Management, Engineering, Professional Service and senior management.

Pre-Sale

  • Collaborates with Loftware regional sales representatives in identifying, qualifying and evaluating technical solution design. 
  • Act as consultants to the prospect bringing together their requirements with Loftware capabilities resulting in potential revenue opportunities. 
  • Assist in the development of presentations, tools, and the execution of the sales strategies resulting in new business revenue as well as growing any existing relationships.
  • Develop the customized value proposition and sales strategy on a per account basis and understand the technical and business challenges of the prospect.
  • Interface with customers, including C-level executives to build presentations, proposals, statements of work, Risk Management and work with sales team to navigate complex selling environments.
  • Report back customer data in an organized fashion to assist product marketing and product management in defining future product requirements.  

Post-sale

  • Initiate project management and reporting disciplines
  • Instill trustworthy and resourceful relationship between clients, partners and Loftware
  • Establish effective communication protocols
  • Manage and report on client projects and opportunities
  • “Hand-hold” throughout planning and deployment

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Technical aptitude; the ability to understand new technologies and related environments.

  • Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with application administration in one or more of the following environments (Oracle e-Business Suite, Seibel, J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, SAP)
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, CRM, WMS or MES systems.
  • Familiarity with database administration in Oracle and/or SQL Server, T-SQL, PL-SQL
  • Knowledge of VB/Java/C++/JavaScript/.NET/J2EE or equivalent would be a ‘plus’
  • Knowledge of information security issues and tools
  • Knowledge of system and network management issues and tools
  • Working knowledge of: LDAPs, Operating Systems, Databases, Networks, WebServers, Application servers

  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs;
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the Sales team

Attributes

The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent along with 7-10 years in a technology environment and experience in solution development in a software or ASP environment. We require at least 5 years in the enterprise management industries, preferably in a pre-sales capacity, experience with solution development in a software environment consulting to Fortune 500 companies. You must be tenacious, intelligent and entrepreneurial in nature. You should have understanding of sales methodologies and automation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an absolute must. Extensive travel (approximately 50%) is required.
