Product Manager

Loftware is looking for the right person to help drive our organization to the next level. Are you a Product Manager that has some enterprise software experience under your belt? Do you have the technical background to talk details with our engineers while at the same time help drive corporate competitive analysis activities? Do you have the passion and expertise to drive the strategy direction based on solid competitive intelligence?

Loftware, the global leader in Enterprise Labeling Solutions, is looking for a Product Manager who will work as a key member of a highly motivated team, responsible for owning the roadmap and delivery of a product family. You will identify market opportunities, develop business cases, define requirements and work closely with the development team for successful product delivery. Tightly coupled with this activity is leading the competitive analysis effort. You will provide the discovery, analysis, and communication of key trends, opportunities, threats, and implications related to Loftware’s overall market and external environment. In a position of significant influence, you will work with key stakeholders to drive strategic decisions based on competitive intelligence.

The successful candidate will have a unique blend of business and technical savvy, moving easily from big-picture business discussions to being able to articulate product differentiators to technical audiences.

This position reports to the Director of Product Management. Loftware is headquartered in Portsmouth, NH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the collaborative effort of developing product strategy, competitive analysis, user feedback, market analysis, and outbound marketing, e.g. sales readiness, product positioning, thought leadership and more. You will “own” the product, serving as the “voice of the customer” and will be driving the business requirements, specifications, prioritization, and development of product enhancements and product initiatives
  • Assume product ownership and manage the product life cycle, driving the business requirements, specifications, prioritization, and development of product enhancements and product initiatives
  • Contribute to business plans, road maps, and requirements that support product strategy objectives
  • Serve as the product expert, working to support sales, marketing, partners, and key customers
  • Organize and implement comprehensive product launch plans
  • Lead the competitive analysis effort, using input from various sources including external sources such as industry standards/guidelines, competitive intelligence and customers as well as internal sources such as sales, professional services, and technical support
  • Develop the Loftware Competitive Analysis strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Maintain and publish all competitive intelligence metrics and information
  • Work closely with customers to garner feedback and understand their evolving business needs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience in an enterprise software environment including competitive analysis
  • Proven success at serving as product owner and a desire to become the ‘product expert’
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching market-leading products
  • Excellent analytical skills to develop insightful competitive analysis.
  • Strong technical skills to understand the competition in depth.
  • Superb writing/communication skills required with a demonstrated ability to communicate at the solution level.  
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.
  • Proven track record in developing thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, solution guides, presentations, demos, contributed articles and sales training.   
  • Strong listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels
  • Strategic thinker who is able to blend business strategy with knowledge of products and technology to develop and execute a compelling vision
  • Ability to see all tasks through to completion, consistently, with a high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers
  • Ability to identify and discuss both the big picture as well as necessary details to bring ideas to fruition

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experienced technical background in software engineering and/or software development practices
    • Technical undergraduate/graduate degree in the Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience with working on projects throughout an entire development lifecycle
  • Experience with SaaS and Cloud-based delivery solutions
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Product Lifecycle Management, and Enterprise Content Management
  • Ongoing professional education and certificates in Product Management

Senior Account Executive – Manufacturing

This approach allows the Senior Account Executive to devise specific vertical market strategies, which are executed with support from the executive team, sales management, and marketing personnel. This position provides a unique opportunity to run a “business within Loftware”. The Senior Account Executive will personally target our existing largest customers in the Manufacturing vertical as well as benefit from on-going revenue generated by the inside sales team in their Manufacturing vertical. The great news is that the Company has a large existing customer base within each vertical market, the domain knowledge, the Marketing Machine, industry-leading solutions, and executive know-how that will support your success.

Required Skills

  • 8+ year’s experience selling ERP, WMS or Supply Chain solutions
  • Proven success penetrating large Manufacturing enterprises and selling “deeper and wider”
  • Experience selling to both existing accounts and net new business  
  • Highly skilled selling to multiple roles and levels within the Manufacturing enterprise
  • Skilled at qualifying large opportunities and executing a value and solution based sales process  
  • Demonstrated ability to network and work effectively with strategic partners, i.e. SAP and Oracle
  • Knowledge of solution and value-based selling methodologies
  • Verifiable track record of achieving/exceeding quota
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with virtual teams including Marketing, Solution Engineers, and Services
  • Ability to travel 20% to 30% of your time for face to face customer and prospect meeting
