FEBRUARY 7, 2007 - As of February 7, 2007, Loftware no longer sells Terminal Server seats for LLM™ applications. This begins the end-of-life process for server-published applications of On Demand Print 32 (typically utilizing Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix).

The Loftware Print Server has long provided a robust and scalable printing solution for small businesses and world-wide enterprises. While LLM™ with Terminal Server seats has served the small-business community in the past, LPS is the technology of the future for shared printing solutions. With major improvements to LPS that have made it even more robust, easier to configure and maintain, Loftware recommends LPS for all customers in a shared environment. This ensures that Loftware customers are provided the most advanced tools and labeling solutions available on the market today.

Customers using the affected technology who have purchased or renewed support contracts before February 15, 2007 are not affected for the duration of that support contract. All customers are encouraged to contact Loftware for a migration plan to a supportable solution.

The Loftware Print Server product includes multiple integration options which are both easier to use and more robust than the old Batch File system.

Customers using the Batch Print 32 as a Stand Alone or Callable application are encouraged to migrate to Loftwares Print Server product and may want to consider using one of Loftwares integration tools including Direct Socket, ActiveX Client and .NET Control to assist the integration solution. Loftware support contract customers using a Batch Print solution will continue to receive support on every other aspect of their Loftware product. Issues regarding the call of the Batch Print 32 Application from a Front End will not be covered.

LLM-WIN 16-bit was introduced in 1996, and was replaced over two years ago with a 32-bit version, LLMWIN32, now known simply as Loftware Label Manager. If you are currently a LLM-WIN (16-bit) customer and are interested in accessing technical support in the future, please contact our Customer Service department at 603-766-3630, or E-mail them at customerservice@loftware.com. As of December 1, 1999 Technical Support ended for any version of Loftware running on Windows 3.1x.

Since Loftware introduced its Windows line of products in 1996, we have made each successive version of Loftware Labeling (LLMWIN) compatible with the latest Windows platforms. Customers who have not yet made the transition to Windows 95B, 98, or NT and desire to move their systems forward, are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. We are no longer able to support you if you are running Loftware on the Windows 3.1x Operating System. As of July 15, 1998 Loftware no longer sold LLM™ for DOS, and as of December 31, 1998 Technical Support ended for LLM-DOS.

This was Loftware's flagship product for many years. Since Loftware introduced its Windows line of products in 1996, the demand for LLM™ for DOS has steadily decreased. Due to this decrease and a much higher demand for our Windows products, we have chosen to phase out any new enhancements as well as the development of new printer drivers. With this being the case, all present and future development efforts focused strictly on our 32-bit Windows software platforms.

Customers who have not yet made the transition to Loftware's Windows products and desire to move their systems forward, have been given the opportunity to migrate all their licenses forward at special pricing.
