Unicode (double byte) Keeping pace with the demands of global enterprise, Loftware has expanded support for foreign languages with its inclusion of Unicode (double byte). Unicode used for printing pictorial languages such as Japanese and Chinese and joins the growing list of supported languages to be used on operator input screens and in label design. Other supported languages include Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Support for Citrix Metaframe/ Windows Terminal Server Native printing support for concurrent thin client label printing from Citrix Metaframe/Windows Terminal Server Platforms allows for unlimited design, reduced maintenance and file sharing. Set up the Loftware design and print modules on Terminal Server and/or Citrix and allow multiple users to access them simultaneously. Users may share labels and settings, or have their own.
i-Push Technology Data Push allows one server side application to control label printers anywhere in the world. The difference between data push technology and our webclient technology is that with the webclient, the print request is triggered from the client site. With data push, no client site intervention is needed; all the label requests come from a server side application. Now you can "push" labels to your vendor sites or satellite offices without the need for expensive WAN connections!
UPS MaxiCode Compression Loftware supports UPS's new Maxicode Compression Smart Label Compliance Standards. MaxiCode is a two dimensional symbology that can encode about 100 characters of data in a one square inch area. Within this small space are two MaxiCode Components - black and white hexagons, that pack information in two directions, and a target like central pattern that allows the symbol to be easily located in automated and high-speed environments. The UPS Smart Label reduces the potential for lost label information. It is also the foundation of future informational-based, package services.
TCIF Compliance standards New templates and barcode wizards for generating the new Telecommunications TCIF Compliance standards
PCL5 Driver The PCL5 Driver is now a native Loftware Driver which enables fast Internet Printing! Refer to your printer manual to determine if your hardware utilizes this specific driver.
