Director of Software Development
We are looking for a highly-motivated Director of Software/Product Development, with a proven track record of leading and building engineering teams and delivering innovative, enterprise class, high-performance software products.

The Director of Software Development is responsible for the overall management of the product/software development team developing Loftware’s core products. Reporting to the CTO and working closely with architects and product development, the Director will be responsible for:

  • Managing the overall work of the product development organization
  • Coordinating development projects with external and internal stakeholders
  • Managing the development queue and ensuring optimal resource allocation to maximize the impact of Loftware’s development efforts
  • Highly skilled at expanding account penetration and establishing new account strategies
  • Developing and promulgating software standards, processes and methodologies
  • Directing, leading and growing a high-performance development team of 20-25 software engineers, using the following technologies: Java/J2EE, Service Oriented Architecture, web-based User Interfaces, XSLT, Web Services, AJAX, Struts, MVC, Flex
  • The Director will need to work effectively with other members of Loftware’s senior management and be a trusted partner
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a facility and ease with large group presentations will be essential

Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience leading high-performance development teams and will have a technical background in software development using modern tools and methodologies
  • He/she will be a strong, self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial streak coupled with excellent communication and team-building skills
  • The ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects and effectively build consensus around projects will be essential to success
  • An undergraduate degree is required and an advanced degree would be a plus
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in software development is required, with special emphasis on skills in Java/J2EE, Service Oriented Architecture, web-based User Interfaces and RDBMS. C++ and/or Microsoft application development experience is a plus
  • Experience with Agile development tools and techniques – especially SCRUM - will be very important
  • High technical competence, track record of strong technical accomplishments

 

Software Architect
We are looking for a highly-motivated Software Architect with a proven track record to work with the business, functional, and technical teams to define, document, educate, implement, and support solutions to meet business objectives. He/she will work with business, functional, and technical teams throughout the design and implementation of objectives to ensure that the overall composition of the solution meets the goals of the Architecture team.

  • Lead the design, development and maintenance of architectural engagements
  • The Software Architect will be hands-on, and will be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to the company and its solutions
  • Work with product management in understanding new requirements
  • Collaborate with other developers and architects in creating solutions that meet business requirements
  • Participate in the design of large-scale, complex systems, and assist other engineers with completion of their projects as needed
  • Remain technically current in an effort to profile, prototype and implement optimal and practical solutions. This includes researching and implementing new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages
  • He/she will help to define standard methods and processes for system integration and ensure adoption and use of those standards
  • The architect will create detailed architectural specifications to document the architecture decisions and to communicate the architecture to software and QA engineers, as well as professional services teams in a way that is directly actionable, clear and unambiguous
  • The architect will also, as needed, work as a software engineering either to assist other teams in various initiatives, or to implement architectural designs

Qualifications

  • Experience w/design, architecture and deployment of enterprise applications
  • Very strong hands-on technical experience with Java/J2EE, web-based User Interfaces, Rich Internet Applications, SOA, Web Services, SOAP, XML, WSDL, WS* Specifications (WS-Security, WS-Policy, Reliable Messaging), n-tier application architectures
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core JAVA, Design Patterns and current industry design patterns (ESA, SOA, *)
  • Must have architecting experience with multi-tier, highly available, scalable, performance-oriented, geographically distributed environments
  • Enjoys working with others in a collaborative fashion and has excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with both UNIX and Windows platforms
  • Struts, MVC, AJAX, Flex, Spring, Hibernate a strong plus
  • SAP experience is a bonus
  • Must have previously architected in project environments with 10+ software engineers
  • 10+ years of experience in multiple professional software development environments
  • 5+ years of Java development experience in a Linux/UNIX environment

 

Software Development Manager

  • Manage a software development team of 8 or more direct reports, including software developers and software quality assurance engineers, performing performance reviews, compensation discussions, skills development, career planning and recruiting new talent as required
  • Oversees the analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation and support for end user applications
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Provides guidance and direction to team members within company policies and management guidance
  • Project management, including resource allocation, capacity planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, performance requirements and productivity metrics tracking
  • Defining, implementing, and maintaining best-of-class processes, procedures, and tools to enhance existing development processes and productivity
  • Working closely with Product Management, Usability Design, Architects, and Release Management

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate as well as provide guidance and mentorship of others.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and project management skills.
  • Build, mentor and grow the development team.
  • Ability to transform business processes into solid design and development methodologies
  • Experience with agile methods; SCRUM experience highly desirable

 

Senior Sales Executives
We are looking for experienced and professional Regional Sales Executives to work different regions of the United States. You will achieve targets for sales revenue generation by mastering our sales and product model; build and maintain the Sales Pipeline and Forecast; generate leads through methods including new and existing business partner channels, telesales, industry sources, networking and trade shows; develop and present proposals to customers; negotiate pricing and contract terms; coordinate use of technical and engineering resources.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling Enterprise Software Solutions
  • Experienced in meeting and exceeding quota in a defined territory
  • Highly skilled at expanding account penetration and establishing new account strategies
  • Experienced in Oracle, SAP, ERP, and Supply Chain Management
  • Ability to prospect and qualify potential sales opportunities
  • Self-motivated with ability to operate in a fast environment


Professional Services Group Systems Analyst
Loftware is seeking to add a technical resource to its team. Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, this position is responsible for supporting pre-sale and post-sale engagements. These engagements will consist of both on-site and off-site involvement. The responsibility and overall objective of being a Systems Analyst is to successfully help the inside and outside sales teams close software license sales by incorporating technical criteria into the overall sales strategy.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Technical aptitude; the ability to understand new technologies and related environments.
  • Ability to learn new technology through self-study. Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with application administration in one or more of the following environments (Oracle e-Business Suite, Seibel, J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, SAP).
  • Strong knowledge and/or understanding of ERP, WMS and other business applications that utilize Loftware's technologies.
  • Familiarity with database administration in Oracle and/or SQL Server, T-SQL, PL-SQL.
  • Knowledge of VB/Java/C++/.Net/J2EE or equivalent would be a "plus".
  • Knowledge of information security issues and tools.
  • Knowledge of system and network management issues and tools.
  • Working knowledge of: LDAP's, Operating Systems, Databases, Networks, WebServers, Application servers.
  • Access client's needs and management requirements and creatively provide solutions that address those needs, solve client's problems and add value to the client's organization.
